Salvation & Grace

Isaiah 53:5 (WEB)

But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

Reflection

The Christmas season points forward to the cross. Jesus wasn't born just to live; He was born to die in our place. Pierced, crushed, punished, all so we could have peace and healing. The manger and the cross are inseparable parts of the same rescue mission.

Prayer

Jesus, as I celebrate Your birth, I don't forget why You came. You were pierced for me, crushed for me, punished in my place. By Your wounds, I am healed. I will never take that sacrifice for granted.
