Salvation & Grace

Matthew 1:21 (WEB)

She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.

Reflection

His name literally means "the Lord saves." Jesus wasn't born to be merely a teacher or a good example. He was born to save. From the very start, His mission was rescue. If you've ever felt too broken to be fixed, remember: fixing the broken is the whole reason He came.

Prayer

Jesus, Your very name declares Your purpose: to save. Thank You for coming specifically for people like me: broken, sinful, and in desperate need of rescue. I will never stop being grateful for what Your name means.
