“For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him, and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.”
Reflection
All of God's fullness dwelled in Jesus, not a partial version, not a watered-down edition. Everything God is was packed into the person of Christ. And through His blood, He reconciled everything, bridging the gap between a holy God and a broken world. That's the Christmas story beneath the Christmas story.
Prayer
God, the scope of what Jesus accomplished on the cross is staggering. All things reconciled, all peace made, all fullness dwelling in Him. Deepen my understanding of the cross this season, beyond what I've known before.
