This verse strips away every illusion of invincibility. One life, one death, one judgment. It's sobering, but it's also clarifying. If this life is the only shot you get to live for Christ, why would you waste a single day hiding your faith?
Prayer
God, this truth is heavy but necessary. Use it to light a fire under my faith so that I live every day with eternity in view.
