Matthew 26:38-39 (WEB)
“Then he said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me." He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will."”
Reflection
In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was honest about His anguish, overwhelmed to the point of death. Yet even in the darkest moment, He surrendered to the Father's will. Living unhidden doesn't mean pretending everything is fine. It means bringing your real pain to God and trusting Him even when His plan costs you everything.
Prayer
Father, like Jesus in the garden, I bring You my honest heart tonight. I don't always understand Your plan, but I choose Your will over mine. Not as I will, but as You will.
