Our ability to love doesn't start with us; it started with God. Before we could do anything to earn it, He chose to love us. That takes the pressure off and puts things in perspective. We're not generating love from nothing; we're simply passing along what we've already received.
Prayer
God, thank You for loving me first, before I had anything to offer. Let that truth sink deep into my heart today, and let it overflow into how I treat every person I encounter. I love because You loved me.
