Hope & Perseverance
Psalm 42:5 (WEB)
“Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.”
Reflection
This question is worth asking yourself on the hard days: why am I so downcast? Sometimes naming the heaviness is the first step toward lifting it. And the answer is always the same: put your hope in God. Not in a change of circumstances, not in other people, but in the unchanging God who saves.
Prayer
Lord, I'm asking my own soul hard questions today. Help me name what's weighing me down and then redirect my hope toward You. I will yet praise You. That's a promise I'm holding onto.
