Courage & Boldness

Proverbs 28:1 (WEB)

The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Reflection

A lion doesn't apologize for its roar. When you're walking in righteousness, you carry a confidence that doesn't come from yourself. It comes from your standing with God. Guilt makes people run and hide, but a clear conscience before God makes you bold as a lion.

Prayer

God, I want to walk in the kind of righteousness that makes me bold, not boastful. Clean my heart so I can stand with the confidence of a lion who knows its Maker.
