Courage & Boldness
Psalm 56:3-4 (WEB)
“When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?”
Reflection
David doesn't pretend fear doesn't exist. He admits it and then redirects it. "When I am afraid" is honest. "I put my trust in you" is the decision. Courage isn't never being scared; it's choosing to trust God in the middle of the fear.
Prayer
Father, I'm honest with You today. There are things that scare me. But I choose to put my trust in You, because what can mere mortals do when You are on my side?
