“When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
Reflection
Boldness didn't come from a pep talk. It came after prayer and being filled with the Holy Spirit. When you feel powerless to speak up for your faith, the answer isn't to try harder. The answer is to pray, be filled, and let the Spirit do what only He can do.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill me the way You filled the early church. Shake my complacency and give me a boldness to speak Your word that can only come from You.
