“The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him. He came to his own, and those who were his own didn't receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name:”
Reflection
Christmas Day. The true light came into the world, and the world missed it. But not everyone. Those who received Him were given the right to become children of God. Today, that invitation still stands. You are not made to hide, and neither is the light of Christ in you. Receive Him and shine.
Prayer
Jesus, on this Christmas Day, I receive You again, fully, joyfully, gratefully. You are the true light, and I am a child of God because of You. Let Your light shine so brightly through me that no one in my life can miss it. Merry Christmas, Lord.
