Hope & Perseverance

1 Peter 5:10 (WEB)

But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Reflection

After you have suffered a little while. That phrase holds so much promise: the suffering has a limit, and restoration is coming. God Himself will do the restoring, the strengthening, the establishing. Your job is to endure the "little while." His job is everything that comes after.

Prayer

God of all grace, I trust that the suffering has an end and that You will personally restore what's been broken. Make me strong, firm, and steadfast as I wait for Your restoration.
