The Word of God

Deuteronomy 8:3 (WEB)

He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn't know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh's mouth.

Reflection

Sometimes God lets you get hungry so you learn where real nourishment comes from. The wilderness seasons aren't punishment. They're training grounds where you discover that His Word sustains you in ways that nothing else can. Physical bread keeps your body going; God's Word keeps your soul alive.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, in my hunger, teach me to depend on Your Word. Use every wilderness season to deepen my trust and remind me that Your truth feeds the parts of me that food never could.
