Reflection
A heart of stone can't feel, can't love, can't respond to God. But He doesn't just chip away at the stone, He replaces the whole thing. A soft heart, a new spirit, a fresh capacity to feel and follow. That's the kind of renovation only God can do.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, I surrender my hardened heart. Remove the stone, the cynicism, the walls, the numbness, and give me a heart that's alive and responsive to You. Make me soft where life has made me hard.
