“Behold, how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.”
Reflection
Notice the exclamation points. Even the apostle John couldn't contain his amazement at this truth. God didn't just sprinkle love on you; He lavished it. Extravagant, overflowing, more-than-enough love is what defines your relationship with the Father.
Prayer
God, Your love is lavish and I don't want to take it for granted. Let the reality of being called Your child make me bold, grateful, and generous with love toward others.
