Strength in Weakness
Psalm 42:11 (WEB)
“Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.”
Reflection
Sometimes you have to talk to your own soul. When discouragement creeps in and your emotions start running the show, speak truth back to yourself. Remind your soul who God is and what He's done. Praise isn't always a feeling; sometimes it's a decision you make while your soul is still catching up.
Prayer
Lord, I'm preaching to my own heart right now: You are faithful. I will praise You even when my emotions haven't caught up yet. Lift my downcast soul with the truth of who You are.
