“I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
Reflection
Jesus never promised a trouble-free life. He promised something better: peace in the middle of trouble and victory over the world itself. When hard times come, they aren't a sign that God has abandoned you. They're the backdrop against which His overcoming power shines brightest.
Prayer
Jesus, I take heart today because You have overcome the world. Even in the trouble, I choose Your peace over panic and Your victory over my fear.
