“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.”
Reflection
Jesus didn't settle for a distant, transactional relationship with you. He upgraded you to friend. Friends share secrets, share life, share burdens. The Creator of everything wants that kind of closeness with you. Don't keep Him at arm's length today.
Prayer
Jesus, the fact that You call me friend changes everything. Help me treat our relationship with the closeness and honesty that true friendship requires.
