Rest

Strength Through Stillness

Psalm 46:10

February 12, 2026

In a world of noise and busyness, God calls us to be still. The quiet is where He speaks.

We live in the most distracted era in human history. Notifications, news cycles, social media, meetings, obligations — the noise is relentless.

And in the middle of all of it, God says: "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

Be. Still.

That is not a passive suggestion. In the original Hebrew, it carries the idea of releasing your grip — letting go of control, ceasing striving, and resting in the recognition that God is sovereign over what you cannot manage.

**Practical Stillness** Stillness is not the absence of activity. It is the presence of surrender. You can find stillness in: - A quiet morning before the rest of the house wakes up - A walk without your phone - Five minutes of silent prayer before responding to a hard situation - Fasting from media for a day

The strength that comes from stillness is not weakness — it is the quiet confidence of someone who knows who holds tomorrow. Rest in that today.
